The whole of southern Portugal stops for this magnificent event that happens in Loule, just before Lent. The main street is closed off for 4 days, usually in February as the countries’ leading circuses parade and dance in unique and colourful costumes and masks, some even prefer not to wear anything at all, just body paint! Then there is a street party where every one is welcome!
To save you finding a parking space, we will pick you up and bring you to the carnaval, then take you back home in the evening.
